At Betterclean Services Bristol and Bath, we are proud to have a dedicated team of cleaning professionals working hard behind the scenes to keep businesses across Bristol and Bath looking their best. From offices and healthcare settings to schools and commercial premises, it takes a talented and committed team to make it all happen. Today we are introducing four of the key people who keep the Bristol and Bath operation running smoothly, from managing contracts and supporting staff to overseeing day to day operations out in the field.

Jess Kelly – Operations Manager

Jess

Jess joined Betterclean Services Bristol & Bath as the Business Admin in 2021, but she soon advanced to Operations Manager. She oversees the company’s day-to-day operations, managing everything from payroll and accounts to client and employee liaison, marketing, team coordination, and administration. Splitting her time between the office and site visits, she brings versatility, precision, and a passion for delivering above and beyond to the business. With an MA in Creative Writing and two adorable rescue rabbits for office companions, Jess combines creativity, compassion, and leadership in every aspect of her role.



Lydia Skillin – HR Administrator

Lydia

Lydia plays a vital role in our management team, overseeing employee liaison, recruitment, and day-to-day HR operations. Her journey from long-term cleaner to HR Administrator is a testament to her dedication, growth, and deep understanding of our business. Known for her warm and approachable nature, Lydia is passionate about supporting both the management team and our cleaning operatives. As a proud mum of three boys, she brings empathy, resilience, and a strong sense of community to everything she does.

 



Marcus Hedley – Contracts Manager

Marcus

Marcus oversees the management of new and existing contracts, driving business development, and maintaining strong client relationships. Since joining us in 2022, he has risen from a Mobile Cleaner, to Mobile Supervisor, to Contracts Manager in no time at all! He’s become a dependable and versatile member of the team, known for his efficiency and willingness to go the extra mile. With a genuine love for animals—especially dogs—Marcus brings extra warmth and care to his role. He is adaptable and always ready to tackle any challenge with a hands-on approach, and he’s well-known amongst client and colleagues-alike for his calming energy in all situations.


Kerry Phillips – Area Manager

With over a decade of experience at Betterclean Services, Kerry has grown from Cleaning Operative to Site Supervisor, Mobile Cleaner, and now to the Area Manager. She audits and manages cleaning standards across all our client sites so we can ensure our cleaning teams are providing the best possible service. Her journey reflects her adaptability, organisation, and exceptional skill in managing both sites and people. Kerry’s deep commitment to rescuing animals in need speaks volumes about her compassion and dedication—qualities she brings into her role every day. Thoughtful, proactive, and an advocate for mental health, Kerry works diligently to ensure client satisfaction and team wellbeing. Her warmth and integrity make her invaluable across the business.
